Skiing on Mt. Leinster

Skis at the Summit

Skis at the Summit

Thomas May from Munich has written to tell of his unique descent from the summit of  Mt. Leinster  on skis with a run of over 1k. In response to the query how he managed to get to the top with skis and boots Thomas says ” I have skitouring shoes, you can also walk quite well with them.
Usually during going up I use skins under the skis and the binding is adapted to walking
When going down the binding is fixed and the shoes are closed a bit more.
I can also fix the skis on the rucksack for going up, so I did on Mount Leinster.”
